Unified Carrier Registration Program (UCR) Enforcement for 2009 will begin on January 1, 2009

The Unified Carrier Registration Program requires individuals and companies that operate commercial motor vehicles in interstate or international commerce to register their business with a participating state and pay an annual fee based on the size of the fleet.

The UCR 2009 renewal notices, instructions, and UCR letters were mailed the week ending October 24, 2008.

2008 UCR registration expires on December 31, 2008. There is NO grace period for UCR registration.
